To help promote peer support initiatives the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT) has created a Peer Support Advisory Board.

As part of their mission, the advisory board has drafted guidelines establishing a statewide standard of peer support and training that uses best practices, research, and experience from established emergency service profession programs throughout the state of Minnesota.

The board will continue to establish peer support understanding and best practices through education and training for emergency service programs and their members.

You can review the guidelines for practice of peer support and guidelines for peer support training as separate topics below, or view the Peer Support Standards and Training Guidelines as a complete page in a printable format.
